  Musical Culture of Montenegro During the Petrović Njegoš Dynasty Vesna Ivanović graduated from the department of musicology at the FMU in Belgrade in 1989. Her fundamental research work refers to the musical life of Montenegro in the second half of the 19th century during the reign of Prince and King Nikola from the Petrović dynasty, while simultaneously tracing the genesis of musical life from ancient forms of syncretic character to adopted forms of the Western European type.
