  Bessarabia: National and historical rights The volume brings back to the attention of specialists and a wider audience two of the fundamental works of the historian Gheorghe I. Brătianu (1898–1953): “Moldova and its historical borders” and “Bessarabia: national and historical rights,” in which the illustrious historian analyzes the documents that speak about the state of affairs in Bessarabia, which was much disputed. The works were developed in difficult years for the Romanian people (1940 and 1943). Both works were written in French at the time in order to be known to international opinion. An extensive introductory study, which accompanies the edition, demonstrates that both historical syntheses were developed “in the interest of restoring the truth,” thus exposing the propaganda and anti-Romanian actions against the national and historical rights of the country. The volume is addressed to researchers in the field of history, but also to a wider audience, including students and teachers, to all those interested in the past of Bessarabia.

  Volumul readuce în atenţia specialiștilor și a unui public mai larg două dintre lucrările fundamentale ale istoricului Gheorghe I. Brătianu (1898–1953): „Moldova și frontierele sale istorice” și „Basarabia: drepturi naţionale și istorice”, în care ilustrul istoric face o analiză a documentelor ce vorbesc despre starea de lucruri din Basarabia mult disputată. Lucrările au fost elaborate în ani de grea cumpănă pentru neamul românesc (1940 și 1943). Ambele lucrări au fost scrise atunci în limba franceză pentru a fi cunoscute opiniei internaționale. Un amplu studiu introductiv, care însoţește ediţia, demonstrează faptul că ambele sinteze istorice au fost elaborate „în interesul restabilirii adevărului”, astfel deconspirându-se propaganda și acţiunile antiromânești împotriva drepturilor naţionale și istorice ale ţării. Volumul este adresat cercetătorilor din domeniul istoriei, dar și unui public mai larg, inclusiv studenților și profesorilor, tuturor celor interesați de trecutul Basarabiei.
