History of Bessarabian Potato - Illustrated Potato Catalog: Vol I: Period 1896-1917 Volume I. This paper presents a cataloging of the first illustrated postcards with the theme of Bessarabia (views), published in Russia, as well as in other countries - Romania, Germany, Japan, Italy, Hungary. The catalog includes both the classical period - 1896 - 1906, and the immediately following period, in which the development of Bessarabian potato took place, ending in 1917. Due to the low circulation and their age (over 100 years) certain types of postcards have become real rarities, most of them mirroring moments of the beginning of the modernization of Bessarabia, but also some events that took place in the political, social and cultural field or reflect the popular architecture and way of life of the population in those times.
In order to ensure the description of the respective pieces, the scientific apparatus was elaborated, related to the description of the pieces, elaborating the specific terminology, non-existent until this stage in the Republic of Moldova, because there are no published works that reflect the given field or postcard presentation criteria. illustrated.
The volume contains the general synoptic table of the editorial variants, with the specification of the publishers and publishers, the actual cataloging being presented in tables, with the reproduction of the most important illustrated postcards. The importance of this paper consists in the fact that so far no advanced study of this field of cultural-historical activity has been carried out, being, in fact, a premiere in the sphere of the history of the respective editorial process.
The paper was developed based on research of the collections of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, the National Museum of History, the National Library "V. Alecsandri", the National Archive of the Republic of Moldova and private collections within the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in collaboration with Association of Philatelists, Maximophilists and Cartophiles of the Republic of Moldova.
Vol. I. Această lucrare prezintă o catalogare a primelor cărți poștale ilustrate cu tematica BASARABIA (vederi), apărute în Rusia, cât și în alte țări – România, Germania, Japonia, Italia, Ungaria. Catalogul include atât perioada clasică – 1896 - 1906, cât și epoca imediat următoare, în care a avut loc dezvoltarea cartofiliei basarabene, finisând cu anul 1917. Din cauza tirajelor reduse și a vechimii lor (peste 100 de ani) anumite tipuri de cărți poștaleau devenit adevărate rarități, majoritatea dintre ele oglindind momente ale epocii de început a modernizării Basarabiei, dar și unele evenimente petrecute pe tărâm politic, social și cultural sau reflectă arhitectura populară și modul de viață al populației în acele timpuri.
Pentru a asigura descrierea pieselor respective s-a elaborat aparatul științific, ce ține de descrierea pieselor, elaborându-se terminologia specifică,inexistentă până la această etapă în Republica Moldova, deoarece nu există lucrări publicate, care să reflecte domeniul dat sau criteriile de prezentare a cărților poștale ilustrate.
Volumul conține tabelul sinoptic general al variantelor editoriale, cu specificarea editorilor și editurilor, catalogarea propriu-zisă fiind prezentată în tabele, cu reproducerea celor mai importante cărți poștale ilustrate. Importanța acestei lucrări constă în faptul că până în prezent nu s-a efectuat un studiu avansat al acestui domeniu de activitate cultural-istorică, fiind, de fapt, o premieră în sfera istoriei procesului editorial respectiv.
Lucrarea a fost elaborată în baza cercetării colecțiilor Muzeului Național de Etnografie și Istorie Naturală, Muzeului Național de Istorie, Bibliotecii Naționale „V. Alecsandri”, Arhivei Naționale a Republicii Moldova și a colecțiilor private în cadrul Muzeului Național de Etnografie și Istorie Naturală în colaborare cu Asociația Filateliștilor, Maximafiliștilor și Cartofiliștilor din Republica Moldova.
