  The Thorny Point of the Landscape: Returning from Historical Aerial Photos to Taiwan 60 Years Ago The Agricultural and Forestry Aeronautical Survey Institute has collected more than 56,000 old aerial photos of the Air Force, which are full of thorns and traces of interpretation. Interpreters use needles to make holes and poke geometric center points or ground control points on the photos; various interpretations and depictions that look like crayon graffiti are detailed records of Taiwan's forest and land use.
