  Rebirth from a Large Earthquake: Risk Analysis and Institutional Resilience of the 9/21 Earthquake This book reviews Taiwan's earthquake science, especially the research development after the September 21 earthquake. The book is divided into four parts: the first part is an introduction to earthquake disaster risk research, introducing data sources and research methods; Based on the analysis results, the concept of "nexus township" is proposed. The third part introduces the concept of resilience, and discusses housing reconstruction, community reconstruction, campus reconstruction, and psychological reconstruction after the September 21 earthquake; the fourth part discusses the changes in Taiwan's disaster prevention and relief system, and provides future reforms suggestions.
