  A Journey by a Forgotten Ship The Niš Cultural Center invites you to the promotion of Bojan Jovanović's book "The Voyage of the Forgotten Ship". Anthropologist, poet and filmmaker, Mr. Jovanović was born in 1950 in Nis, and besides numerous anthropological articles and books, he is also the author of over forty alternative films. "Traveling on a Forgotten Ship" is an unusual monograph about Niš, and the Preface of the book itself is particularly significant, which gives a new interpretation of the name of our city Niš: "The origin of the name Niš comes from the name that denoted the place where the river could be crossed, so in the context common naming practices, its Serbian translation could be Brod". An important aspect of Jovanović's literary work is his thematic essays and texts about domestic and foreign writers.
