  Saint George the Victorious : Images of the Holy Great Martyr George in Ancient Russian and Post-Byzantine Icon Painting : Exhibition May 7--June 15, 2025 The catalogue of the exhibition of the same name presents outstanding works of Russian icon painting of the 15th-16th centuries, which depict the holy great martyr George in different iconographic types, as well as two rare post-Byzantine icons created in the Greek tradition. In one of them, the saint holds his severed head in his hands, which refers to the description of his martyrdom, the other icon illustrates the rare "Miracle of St. George about the salvation of the youth from captivity." The publication includes articles dedicated to these monuments, as well as the history of images of the great martyr George in ancient Russian art. The catalogue publishes in detail the hagiographical icon of the great martyr George of the early 16th century from the collection of the Andrei Rublev Museum, originating from the Moscow posad church of St. George on Krasnaya Gorka, located beyond the Neglinnaya River, opposite the Kremlin.

  Каталог одноименной выставки представляет выдающиеся произведения русской иконописи XV–XVI веков, на которых в разных иконографических типах изображен святой великомученик Георгий, а также две редкие поствизантийские иконы, созданные в греческой традиции. На одной из них святой держит в руках свою отсеченную голову, что отсылает к описанию его мученической кончины, другая икона иллюстрирует редкое «Чудо св. Георгия о спасении отрока из плена». В издание вошли статьи, посвященные этим памятникам, а также истории изображений великомученика Георгия в древнерусском искусстве. В каталоге детально опубликована житийная икона великомученика Георгия начала XVI века из собрания Музея имени Андрея Рублева, происходящая из московской посадской церкви Святого Георгия на Красной Горке, находившейся за рекой Неглинной, напротив Кремля.
