  Travelling Iconostasis, the : Works of the 16th-17th Centuries From Andrey Rublev Museum and the Collection of G. Tatintsian : Exhibition March 19--April 20, 2025 The publication for the exhibition of the same name presents an artifact from a private collection, previously unknown to specialists and viewers - a set of icons from the 16th-17th centuries that make up a field iconostasis. Works of this type were miniature and functional. For ease of transportation, they were made in the form of folding icons, they were taken along on military campaigns and long pilgrimages. The catalogue also publishes two wooden carved folding icons from the collection of the Andrei Rublev Museum. One of them was carved from expensive cypress wood brought from abroad by a Novgorod craftsman at the end of the 16th century, the second, dating back to the end of the 17th century, is associated with Moscow. The publication includes articles by the curator of the exhibition I.E. Finskaya and candidate of historical sciences E.V. Davydova, as well as the results of a physical and chemical study of the pigment composition of the paint layer of the field iconostasis presented at the exhibition.

  Издание к одноименной выставке представляет памятник из частного собрания, ранее не известный специалистам и зрителям – комплекс икон XVI–XVII веков, составляющих походный иконостас. Произведения такого типа были миниатюрны и функциональны. Для удобства транспортировки они изготавливались в виде складней, их брали с собой в военные походы и дальние паломнические путешествия. В каталоге также опубликованы два деревянных резных складня из коллекции Музея имени Андрея Рублева. Один из них вырезан из дорогого, привезенного из-за границы кипарисового дерева новгородским мастером в конце XVI столетия, второй, датируемый концом XVII века, связан своим происхождением с Москвой. В издание включены статьи куратора выставки И.Е. Финской и кандидата исторических наук Е.В. Давыдовой, а также результаты физико-химического исследования пигментного состава красочного слоя представленного на выставке походного иконостаса.
