  From the Kurens of the Zaporizhian Sich to the Villages and Towns of Kuban (Problems of the Origin of Names, Historical Geography, Topography and Cultural Heritage) The book is devoted to the problem of the origin of the names of the kurens of the Zaporizhian Sich and their subsequent fate in Kuban, where they passed to many stanitsas and two cities, becoming part of the historical and cultural heritage of the region. Having determined the places of origin of the names, one can understand what routes the founders of the kurens could have taken to get to the Sich. The issues of the chronology of the emergence of these administrative and economic units of the Zaporizhian Host and their number are considered. Comparing the lists of kurens of different years, the author tries to find the key to understanding their topographic placement in the Sich. Considerable attention is paid to the issues of source studies, archeography, and historiography.

  Книга посвящена проблеме происхождения названий куреней Запорожской Сечи и дальнейшей их судьбе на Кубани, где они перешли ко многим станицам и двум городам, став частью историко-культурного наследия региона. Определив места происхождения названий, можно понять, какими путями могли добираться до Сечи основатели куреней. Рассматриваются вопросы хронологии возникновения этих административно-хозяйственных единиц Войска Запорожского и их количества. Сравнивая списки куреней разных лет, автор пытается найти ключ к пониманию их топографического размещения в Сечи. Значительное внимание уделяется вопросам источниковедения, археографии, историографии.
