Annual report on development of sports industry in China (2013) It has been three years since the first edition of the Blue Book of Sports, during which time there have been many exciting changes emerging in the sports industry in China. Apart from the economic growth brought about by the success of the Beijing Olympic Games, the industry has also become more dynamic, flexible and responsive. However, a mature and healthy sports industry requires systematic management and regular professional analysis of its components. Recently the relationship between Sports investment and finance and the influence that hosting sports events has on raising a city's profile is becoming hot issue within the industry.
As China's only Blue Book on the Sports Industry, Annual Report on Development of Sports Industry in China (2013) (Herein after referred to as "the Report") using a range of carefully selected research methodologies we have continued to conduct a number of insightful and interesting surveys over the last few years. Our research has been carried out across a number of cities focusing on companies, sports events and event venues to assess the business models, industry rules, and current business trends with the aim of structuring and systematically presenting these processes.
Following the system used by the first Blue Book, the report provides insightful analyses which focus on a number of sectors such as sports events, fitness and leisure centers, and sports merchandise as well as sports venues.
