The short time when Andropov was a leader of the country evidently showed that in our society there was not only tendency to democracy and protection of human rights and freedoms but also a strong tendency to "order" and respect to "a strong leader", "a master" capable to care first of all about the welfare of the people instead of his own benefits and privileges for his friends.
