  Genius at the Thorny Vine: A. Yu. Krimsky The monograph was written by doctor of philological sciences, professor Vasyl Lazarovych Mykytas (1924—1999) for the 125th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding orientalist scientist, linguist, poet, translator and one of the most active creators of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and its indispensable secretary in 1918-1928. On the basis of archival primary sources and publications, the author created a scientific biography of one of the most outstanding personalities of Ukraine and world Oriental studies of the first half of the 20th century, who became a victim of the totalitarian regime.
