  • Description

Global history is the newest direction of modern historiography. From the beginning of the emergence of the term in the 1990s and until today, there is a debate around it, the question of the relationship of "global history" with such related concepts as "universal", "universal", "general", "world", "comparative" is discussed , "big", "transnational", "connected", "entangled" history, etc. Traditionally, global history was studied as the history of states, empires, civilizations, large areas, and hemispheres. Currently, global history has entered a reflexive stage, and the history of concepts has become a relevant method for determining its subject field and methodological tools, which makes it possible to look at global history as a concept and historical ideology of a globalizing era; determine its place as a referent category in a large linguistic family, as well as its semantic connection with such constructs as "backwardness", "imperial meridian", "revival - cultural transfer". In the book, global history is represented by three types of historiography: transnational history, social theology, and intersectional history. In the era of globalization, the perception of global history takes place taking into account national traditions, which is relevant both for the academic environment of historians, philosophers, sociologists, and for mass consciousness and global thinking in general.
