Since the time of Ivan IV the Terrible, the Muscovite state has set a course for territorial expansion, for the capture of other territories, the conquest of nations, their extermination, unification by brutal methods. It is increasingly clear that the strategy and tactics of the aggressor country have not changed. Today, Ukraine is the eastern outpost of Western democratic civilization, which stands against the authoritarian threat from the East. The authors of our book ponder these questions.

  Територія України завжди перебувала в центрі геополітичних подій. У різні періоди окремі її землі були складовими частинами різних імперій. Аналізуючи події минулого, війни XVIII-XIX століть, світові війни XX століття, автори неминуче проводять паралелі з сучасними подіями, жорстокими загарбницькими війнами, які веде Російська держава у XXI столітті. З часів Івана IV Грозного Московська держава взяла курс на територіальне розширення, на захоплення інших територій, завоювання народів, їхнє винищення, уніфікацію звірячими методами. Все чіткіше видно, що стратегія і тактика країни-агресора не змінилися. Сьогодні Україна — східний форпост західної демократичної цивілізації, який протистоїть авторитарній загрозі зі Сходу.
