  Children, females and family in Ukraine Ukraine, as a member of the international community, has identified domestic policy priorities for the protection of the family, motherhood and childhood and widely implements activities to create an environment conducive to children; to whom decent development and protection of their rights are ensured while respecting the principles of equality, peace, social justice, taking into account moral principles and values of Ukrainian society aimed at strengthening the family and moral health of children in the country. International legal instruments recognized and ratified: Convention on the human rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Convention on the Elimination of All forms of discrimination against women. Successful implementation of the new social policy of the state, its implementation in the period of socio-economic transformations requires a thorough analysis, identification of trends in changes in social processes taking place in the country. And in this, by far, a powerful compilation database on many socio-demographic and economic issues is the statistical compilation "Children, Women and family in Ukraine ", which has been published every two years by the State Statistics Service since 1998.
