• Description

The Life of Dmitry Markov The outstanding contemporary photographer Dmitry Markov did not merely document Russian reality from the sidelines—he lived right in the thick of the era. The "wild nineties," the rise of the volunteer movement, rallies in support of Pussy Riot and Alexei Navalny, and the exposure of the Russian military's involvement in the war in the Donbas in 2014—all of this was part of his life story.
