• Description

Fragile Fantasies of Oberbossierer Lois This book is about life, passion, and death in the enlightened Duchy of Württemberg during the reign of His Serene Highness Duke Karl Eugen. It tells the story of Johann Jacob Loys, the old headmaster of the Ludwigsburg porcelain factory, who fell in love with a young orange merchant. He tells how the young man went off to war, while the master dreamed and fantasized about him, and embodied him in his figurines.
