  The Princely Authority and Administration of Frederick III in Carniola (1435–1493) The present book explores the issue of the development and structure of the provincial authority and administration in Carniola. In his research, he addressed the period of almost sixty years of rule of the provincial prince, king and emperor Frederick V. (III.), who ruled between 1435 and 1493. Older historiography saw it as a time of crisis transition from the late Middle Ages to the early modern period, but such judgments were usually based on the belief that Frederick III was a passive, almost incompetent ruler. However, more recent research has clearly demonstrated the unwarrantedness of these conclusions. The book includes a detailed 12-page summary in English.
