  This book publishes all documents of the Lithuanian Metric Book No. 271 (the so-called 57th Court Case Book), preserved in the Russian State Archive of Old Acts, Moscow (f. 389, sv 271), written in the Ruthenian and Polish languages. They shed light on the judicial activities of the Trakai castellan, the Vice-Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the elder of Brest and Kobrin, Eustachius Valavičius, in 1569–1574. and are related to the lands of Brest, Kobrin and Pinsk.
