• Description

Rhinoceroses in the Bookstore: Literary Wars of 2022-2024 After February 24, 2022, it became obvious that many writers do not support the war and speak openly about it - but the authors who were critical of the authorities had to emigrate. Many of those who remained fell silent, a few resisted. But a large number of "patriotic" writers swore allegiance not only to the authorities, but also to the new state of affairs: propaganda of war, hatred, intolerance, lack of freedom. The authors who surfaced, using the only chance of their lives, are trying to take up the vacant places - but they succeed only in denunciations. What is happening in Russian libraries, bookstores, publishing houses, at fairs, what are the authors writing about on the "other" side of the curtain?
