The Castle Chronicles: Annals: 11(77)/ 2024 The latest issue of the Castle Chronicles: Annals contains—as always—a set of interesting articles by renowned researchers. These include Wojciech Tygielski's text on the presence of Italians at the Vasa court; Anna Borowska's article analyzing Andrzej Tarło's 1626 votive painting by Tommaso Dolabella and its conservation work carried out in 2017 and 2020; and Magdalena Królikiewicz's study, presenting a detailed analysis of Melchior de Hondecoeter's biography and his painting from the former collection of King Stanisław August. The issue also includes two articles based on archival materials from the Royal Castle Museum in Warsaw: Zbigniew Hundert discusses the Stanisław Poniatowski Memorial from 1731 as a source for the history of the organization of the Crown Army in the final years of Augustus II's reign, while Przemysław Kalwara presents the Eternal Law of 1634, which was issued to the court.
