Germanica Wratislaviensia 149: Media of Memory Germanica Wratislaviensia is the oldest Polish academic journal of German studies, edited since 1957 at the Institute of German Philology, University of Wrocław. The subject matter of contributions published in Germanica Wratislaviensia covers the following areas: the history of German-language literature from its beginnings to the present day, literary theory and aesthetics, the history of the German language, contrastive linguistics, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, German studies, cultural contacts between Poland and German-speaking countries, Silesian studies, gender studies, translation studies, glottodidactics, intercultural German studies, new media, and the history of science.
