  • Description

Military Warlord Khatanbaatar Magsarjav Sandagdorj Magsarjav”, who was known among the Mongolians as the People’s Khatanbaatar Magsarjav, who was worshipped as an invincible warrior hero, who made great contributions to the establishment of Mongolia and the victory of the People’s Revolution, and who continuously fought against the Russian White and Chinese armies for the independence of Mongolia, was created for the 145th anniversary of his birth. Today, we imagine him through the part in the movie Morning, and the part where Bogd Khan stamps the People’s Party’s letter asking for help from Soviet Russia and thinks: “At whose behest is this poor creature who knows nothing but swinging a sword?” It seems that we have understood Khatanbaatar Magsarjav only as a capable military general. However, Khatanbaatar Magsarjav, in addition to being a famous military general, was also a major state and social figure who, from the time of the dissolution of the Mongolian autonomous state, together with Jalkhanz Khutagt Damdinbazar, led the patriotic group of remaining nobles and lamas, which was recorded in history as the “Party of Mongolian Autonomy and Peace”, and later led the group of nobles within the People’s Party. Therefore, in telling the story of this brave man, I have tried to show this great man from all sides as a legendary general and a famous statesman, and to make it clear why the circumstances of the time led the Mongols to take such a step.
