Great Returns: a Volume of Dissertations of the International Scientific Conference: Great Returns. About Works of Art, Library and Archival Collections and the Sanctities of the Polish Orthodox Church Lost and Taken Away During World Wars I and II Great Returns is a work dealing with works of art, library and archival collections, and the sanctities of the Polish Orthodox Church. From 15 to 17 October 2021, a scientific conference was held, the subject of which were works lost as a result of both world wars. The cultural heritage has been destroyed or has been taken out of the country. The pretext for convening the conference was the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Riga. However, despite this treaty, works belonging to the Orthodox culture were not returned. Without these monuments of Orthodox art and culture, it is difficult to have a complete picture of the past.
