• Description

Tuareg: Seven Texts for the Theater A collection of dramatic texts is always a reason for summing up the intermediate result of the author's creative path. Nowadays, there are more such occasions, and not all of them are joyful. By the time this collection is published, playwright Svetlana Petriychuk is under investigation for one of the most absurd trials of our time - the so-called "new theatrical case". Svetlana and director Zhenya Berkovich are accused of justifying terrorism for staging the play Finist the Bright Falcon. The play "Tuareg" that gave the name to the collection is a program work by Svetlana Petriychuk. The play uses the technique of combining the incompatible. The life of women who rebelled against the male state in the village of Otrub is intertwined with the legends and tales of the Tuareg tribe, who came to the idea of matriarchy even in time immemorial.
