Reports of Mitar Bakić, the Montenegrin Representative in Constantinople 1885-1887: Book 1 (Collection of Documents) "Montenegro's diplomatic past has always been in the focus of historical science, as one of the foundations in building and preserving statehood. Therefore, every work that has as its object the study of this topic, attracts a lot of attention from the domestic scientific and lay public. For these reasons, the State Archives of Montenegro, as a consequence of its programmatic orientation, started a project to publish a collection of documents "Reports of Mitra Bakić - Montenegrin Deputy in Constantinople". Work on this project was started by the recently deceased employee of the State Archives, historian, prof. Predrag Vukić and worked on it until his death in 2019. The work was continued by MA Vukota Vukotić and archival advisor Srđan Pejović, who expanded the separate reports, adding the year 1887 and documents from the fund of the Embassy of Constantinople. This completes the content of Deputy Bakić's report for the period of his first term as Montenegrin Deputy in the Ottoman Empire and fully valorizes the efforts of the deceased. Predrag Vukić." - Danilo Mrvaljević
