Description
- The (Un)Forgotten Battles and Battles of Vasojević for the Freedom of Serbia and Montenegro (From 1690 to 1941) "This book records and describes all those (un)forgotten fights and battles fought by Vasojevići, Šekulari, Veličani, Serbs, Ašanis and all other ethnic groups that lived in the area "from Nožica to Lješnica". Since the official Montenegrin historiography deliberately forgets the important role of warriors from these areas and does not mention them anywhere in history textbooks, I came up with the idea that as a historian I would collect and describe in one place all the wars, battles, battles and revolts that our ancestors led for their freedom , for the freedom of Montenegro and the Serbian people, in order to preserve for their descendants and complete their memory of their ancestors, who for almost three centuries waged a continuous and bitter struggle in order to survive and preserve their native hearth, their Serbian Orthodox faith, the Serbian language and the Serbian nation. . How much courage the warriors from the area of Vasojević had is shown by the data presented by Miodrag S. Joksimović that the Turks marveled at how these warriors cheerfully went to their deaths. This discouraged the Turks in certain situations. Partly because of this, it was not impossible for the brave Vasojevićs to kill hundreds of Anatolian soldiers in skirmishes with their minimal losses, as for example in the battles at Polica and Lješnica in 1854, Rudeš near Beran in 1862, Buč in 1875, Šekular and Buč in 1876. ., Bukova Poljani, Morači and Jelovici 1877" - the author
