  Social-Ecological Models of Health: Members of Military Organizations and Their Families The monograph represents probably the most thorough scientific argumentation in the Slovenian area of ​​what a military family is, what defines it and, above all, why it should be treated separately, although not separately from the general (civilian) Slovenian family. By recognizing the peculiarities of the nature of military service and the resulting risk factors for the health and well-being of the families of members of the Armed Forces, on the one hand it helps to demonstrate why members of the Armed Forces should not be treated as (ordinary) civil servants, and on the other hand it contributes to wider awareness society about the specifics of the military organization and the realization of its mission and the importance of the family for the effectiveness of the army. Through the monograph, the development and achieved level of the institutional system of care for families in Slovenia is recognized, which is also implemented in military families. Through the description of the environment in which military families operate, the factors that affect the quality of their life, the sources of stress that cause problems and hardships of military families; and getting to know the way in which military families deal with them, the author allows the author to understand what a military family is, why it should be studied, why it is special and why it is necessary to take care of it.
