  State Institute of Radiology in Prague: History and Transformation The State Radiological Institute (SRÚ) was founded in 1919 in Prague. Its program mainly included research in the field of radiation and certification of Jáchymov radio, consulting activities and methodical services for those interested in medical and industrial circles. In 1959, the institute was renamed the Institute for Research, Production and Use of Radioisotopes (ÚVVVR) and existed until 1990. The book maps the history of the institute, its activities in the field of research and production of emitters, radioactively labeled compounds and diagnostic kits, development of ionizing metrology radiation and other activities related to the use of ionizing radiation. Attention is also paid to institutions that continue and further develop these activities that were started at the institute.
