In the Footsteps of Bessarabia The volume includes the text of the first edition of Romulus Cioflec's book "In the Footsteps of Bessarabia. Notes and Impressions from the Russian Revolution" (1927); the unpublished text, with reference to Bessarabia, "Looking Back and Looking Forward" (1942) and Romulus Cioflec's letters to Garabet Ibrăileanu, sent from Chișinău between 1916 and 1922.
"Following the footsteps of Bessarabia. Notes and impressions from the Russian revolution" describes the realities of Bessarabian society in the years when the Great Union of 1918 took place and in the immediate following period, realities seen and experienced by an active participant in them.
