Der deutsch-tschechische Ausgleich an der Wende vom 19. zum 20. Jahrhundert aus der Perspektiveder Vertreter der Staats- und Selbstverwaltung (Leaders, behind-the-scenes actors or idle bystanders? Czech-German settlement at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries from the perspective of state administration representatives and Self-Government) is a German-language collection of contributions from the international conference of the same name, which was held at the MÚA of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in 2018. In a total of nine chapters, Czech and Austrian historians focus on personalities who were connected with Czech-German relations in the first two decades of the 20th century settlement negotiations. They do not limit themselves to answering the question of how individual actors contributed to the settlement process, but also examine the relationships between negotiators, communication strategies and ways of forming various compromises.
