The book brings 297 stories from fourteen municipalities: Apache, Dornava, Gorišnica, Gornja Radgona, Križevci pri Ljutomer, Ljutomer, Markovci, Ormož, Radenci, Razkrižje, Središće ob Dravi, Sv. Jurij ob Ščavnica, Tomaž pri Ormožu and Veržej. From the mouths of lonely residents on abandoned homesteads, the writers saved them from oblivion at the last minute and also took into account the linguistic peculiarities of the records. Traces of ancient spiritual heritage are shown in fairy tales, fairy tales, legends, various tales, even jokes that made working life easier. Ethnological heritage speaks of old knowledge of the former peasant economy and old crafts in the countryside, memories of boyish mischief and mishaps, the wisdom of a proven age and unbelieving beliefs.
