  "To be Estonian..." Inspired by Folk Fashion In 2005, the Estonian Fashion Artists' Association organized an exhibition in Hobusepea Gallery dedicated to the beliefs and beauty of ancestors, which has been exhibited to date. For over nine years, 55 renowned fashion designers and craftsmen in different countries have shown that the design language, colors and patterns of Estonian folk art are encoded in their beauties and that the Estonian style, which has evolved over centuries, continues to survive in contemporary clothing design. The inspiration for the exhibition models is rich folk art - ornaments from medieval embroidery, folk costumes from various villages and parishes, and clothing from the 1930s.
