Source Studies : Commentationes "Studia Źródłoznawcze" is considered one of the best historical journals in Poland. It is distinguished by its source studies profile, particularly in relation to research on early periods. The journal publishes original materials presenting the results of independent research, previously unpublished elsewhere. It is devoted to the auxiliary sciences of history and source studies, namely, the classification of historical sources, research and criticism methods appropriate for particular source types, and the editing of historical sources from the Middle Ages to the 19th century.
