  • Description

China's Groundwater Resources - Inner Mongolia "China's Groundwater Resources" is the comprehensive result of a new round of national groundwater resources assessment projects. It was compiled through the aggregation and in-depth analysis of groundwater resource assessment results submitted by various provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities). Rich in content, with a vast amount of information and a comprehensive data base, it comprehensively reflects the accumulation of hydrogeological exploration, monitoring, and scientific research in the land and resources system over the past 50 years. It embodies both scientific analysis and practical application. The scope of groundwater resource evaluation covers more than 2,000 counties (cities, banners) in 32 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and the two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao, with a focus on the Yellow River Basin, the arid inland basins in the northwest, the karst areas in the south, the Huanghuaihai Plain, the Songliao Plain, the Sanjiang Plain and the Yangtze River Delta. Guided by system theory and the principles of water cycle science, the evaluation is conducted from both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the natural recharge resources, exploitable resources and exploitable storage capacity of deep confined water of groundwater.
