The aim of the book is to offer readers the results of research of consumption goods and services in Czech households. The first two chapters deal with the impact of consumption on the environment and theoretical approaches to the analysis of consumption and behavior. The remaining five chapters are devoted to how consumer behavior impacts the environment, especially in regards with the demand for energy and transport, energy-saving behavior and energy-saving measures in the home, car ownership and consumption of organic food. The aim of this book is to highlight the environmental effects that are associated with these selected behaviors and bring new knowledge about these types of consumer behavior in different segments of Czech society.
