  Code of canon law This is the first Lithuanian translation of the Code of Canon Law. It is a product of a well established partnership between the Holy See and the Republic of Lithuania, to reinsure that the Lithuanian Catholic church is in fact standing in accordance with Canon Law. The State on the other hand recognizes the canonical and ecclesiastical laws to bear consequences for the civil population and establishements. The translation into the Lithuanian language was accomplished by the Church and by the Lithuanian community of lawyers, students, public institutions.
