  Statistical Yearbook of the Republic of Poland, 2011 The Central Statistical Office hereby presents you with the seventy-first edition of the Statistical Yearbook which contains compiled statistical information on the living standards of the society and on the state of the Polish economy. The publication also provides a comprehensive set of data on international comparisons. While preserving an unmodified thematic layout, certain changes and supplements have been introduced: • the results of the elections to organs of local self-government entities held in 2010; • information on the health status of the population on the basis of the sample survey ”European Health Interview Survey”; • the results of the Agricultural Census 2010, including information concerning labour input on agricultural holdings, agricultural land, crop production and yields, tractors as well as selected agricultural machines and equipment; • the European funds budget, which revenue and reimbursable expenditure are presented by programmes financed with the use of these funds; • preparatory proceedings in cases on offences investigated by the Border Guard. Moreover, this edition of the Yearbook includes: • national accounts data by kind of activity presented for the first time according to the Polish Classification of Activities — PKD 2007 (NACE Rev. 2), with recalculations of the previously published data; • information in territorial breakdown presented for voivodships (NUTS 2) exclusively. Presenting the Statistical Yearbook of the Republic of Poland 2011, I would like to express my gratitude to the respondents and keepers of administrative sources for transferring data, which constitute the base for preparing statistical information. I would also like to thank all persons and institutions for their comments, suggestions and conclusions, which contribute to the content of the Yearbook.
