• Description

Days Gone By: Novellas and Short Stories Boric writes in a realistic manner, the most unwinning in our times. The point is not in the inevitable repetition of familiar situations, but in the modern approach to literature: the genre of ingenuity has been exhausted. The same thing happened in other forms of art, and it is no coincidence that at some point the word Peredvizhniki became almost a curse word. Even Korney Chukovsky, a faithful friend and convinced admirer of Repin, looked at such familiar and beloved canvases in his old age, and got bored, but in their time they made a revolution. Boric also has to resort to various tricks in order not to look old-fashioned.
