  Protection Of Monuments “Ochrona Zabytków” [“Protection of Historical Monuments”] is a specialist journal dedicated to preservation of cultural heritage, research and conservation of historical monuments. The articles are devoted to theoretical and practical issues related to the following areas: maintenance and restoration of historical monuments, history of art, architecture and urban planning, landscape design, archaeology, ethnology, legal framework for heritage protection, and heritage management. “Ochrona Zabytków” is published continuously under the same title since 1948 and it remains an ideological successor to the periodical known as “Ochrona Zabytków Sztuki” [“Protection of Monuments of Art”], published in years 1930-1931 by the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Enlightenment.
