Voditsa--Queen, Assistant to the Whole World: Belarusian Conspiracies with Retelling into Russian and Translation into English: Illustrated Edition With Audio Appendix The edition includes the texts of zamorov - a peculiar genre of folk art of Belarusians that is alive to this day. The absolute majority of them are printed for the first time. The rich world of traditional representations with its close and organic combination of archaic mythological and Christian currents opens before the reader, as well as everyday human life, where they seek salvation from troubles and illnesses. A special power was attributed to these extremely bright, poetic and even fascinating texts. The translation into English and retelling of the story into Russian expands the readership. The texts are illustrated by a distinctive type of Belarusian folk art – carvings. The book is accompanied by audio or video recordings of individual texts made by the author in different regions of Belarus and posted on the YouTube channel.
В издание включены тексты заговоров – своеобразного, по сей день живого жанра фольклорного творчества белорусов. Абсолютное большинство из них печатается впервые. Перед читателем открывается богатый мир традиционных представлений с его тесным и органичным соединением архаичных мифологических и христианских течений, а также проходит будничная человеческая жизнь, где ищут спасения от бед и болезней. Этим чрезвычайно ярким, поэтичным и даже увлекательным текстам приписывалась особая мощь. Перевод на английский и пересказ сюжета на русский язык расширяет читательскую аудиторию. Тексты иллюстрированы отличительным видом белорусского народного искусства – вытинанками. Книга сопровождается аудио-или видеозаписями отдельных текстов, сделанными составителем в разных районах Беларуси и размещенными на YouTube-канале.
