Corpus Inscriptionum Poloniae: Inscriptions From the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Edited by Joachim Zdrenka: Inscriptions From the Gryfino County - Part of the New March County of Chojna This issue is the first in a series of volumes 11 of the Corpus Inscriptionum Poloniae. It is the result of research conducted by the Epigraphic Workshop of the Institute of History at the University of Zielona Góra. This workshop is the only one in Poland that conducts comprehensive epigraphic research. The epigraphic material collected, processed, and currently published is the result of two years of fieldwork and archival and library research. The authors aimed to provide the most comprehensive account possible of all epigraphic objects, both preserved and lost, which have survived to this day only in the form of photographs or descriptions. In this way, despite their "nonexistence," they are being introduced into scholarly circulation. The scale of losses in the historical material of the researched area after 1945 is enormous. Therefore, every preserved artifact deserves to be fully documented and saved for future generations.
